Material Requirement Planning (MRP)

MalProSoft MRP is specially designed for the Materials Control Department to anticipate materials requirements based on sales orders or forecasts with reference to a structured Bill of Materials. Multi-level Bill of Materials for Research & Development and Production are supported and can be used for product costing.

Why MalProSoft MRP?

With MalProSoft MRP, users can improve inventory management information and control while reducing operating costs and inventory holding costs. It can:

·	Generate Multi-level Research Bill of Materials [BOM]
·	Transfer confirmed Research BOM to Production BOM
·	Track unlimited Production Bill of Materials levels
·	Support alternative parts in BOM
·	Maintain product standard costing
·	Track overhead cost of each product
·	Handle Engineering Change Request [ERC]
·	Create Engineering Change Note [ECN] with approved ECR
·	Extract sales orders from MalProSoft Sales Distribution System [SDS] or
·	Group all sales orders with the same product code into one Job Order
·	Activate materials explosion based on specified job orders or MPS lot from Production Scheduling (Production Scheduling is available in MalProSoft Planning & Production System [PPS])
·	Support simulation or actual explosion
·	Materials Explosion will validate quantities to be produced against product and raw materials inventory to determine actual quantities to purchase
·	Reduce product inventory holding cost by determining right quantity to be produced
·	Reduce materials inventory holding cost by determining right quantity to be purchased
·	Populate materials explosion results into Temporary Purchase Requisition [TPR]
·	Convert Temporary Purchase Requisition to Purchase Requisition in MalProSoft Procurement System [PCS]
